Improved PhageGuard Listex
PhageGuard Listex, higher chlorine tolerance
This news item is to inform you of a change which we are making to our PhageGuard Listex product in order to improve its robustness in processing environments. This change increases the tolerance of PhageGuard Listex in the presence of low levels of chlorine (less than1 ppm).
Chlorine filters are still needed and should be well maintained, however we know that process tolerance in plant environments is important and for that reason we have made a change to the solution in which the phage live.
The one thing you will notice is a change in color from slightly opaque to slightly yellow in the undiluted product. As displayed below, this change in color is (near) unnoticeable in diluted form. Please make those using the material aware of the color difference. We will make efforts to communicate this as well by placing a small note in each shipment.
There are no changes from a regulatory or MSDS perspective. A new specification sheet has been created. The phage itself remains the same.

Undiluted
The image on the left displays the color difference between the undiluted current PhageGuard Listex (left), and the undiluted improved PhageGuard Listex (right). The slightly cloudy color will appear as a slight shade of yellow in the improved PhageGuard Listex.
